Belief the victims of disgraced former Gloriavale leader have been let down by the justice system

Howard Temple has successfully appealed his two-year prison sentence - instead serving home detention.

The 85-year-old pleaded guilty to sex offences against six girls and young women over two decades.

His lawyer called the sentence 'manifestly excessive' - and the appeal was successful.

Barrister Brian Henry says the original punishment was already too low - so to give him less is abhorrent.
