Three men have been found guilty after raping a young German tourist in an industrial Auckland carpark last year

The trio were caught on CCTV footage taking the intoxicated 19-year-old out of Family Bar on K-Rd and driving her to a secluded Avondale carpark, early on New Year's Day.

Two claimed it was consensual, while the third said he was asleep in the van at the time.

A hostel witness said the woman was inconsolable when she returned and tried to run into traffic.

After about nine hours of deliberations, a jury reached unanimous verdicts following a two-and-a-half-week trial in the High Court at Auckland.
