The Forestry Minister says that 10-million dollars from the Billion Trees fund - will be invested in large-scale planting

The government has announced the funding criteria for applications will now be more flexible.
Shane Jones says it'll allow more planting, and improve our waterways.
He says farmers and catchment groups can work with the Ministry for Primary Industries and the provincial growth fund to do things that have practical application.
Jones says these large-scale planting and restoration initiatives will provide employment opportunities and support the plant nursery sector.
