    ANZ has sold the finance company UDC for 762 million dollars, to Japans' Shinsei Bank

    ANZ has sold the finance company UDC for 762 million dollars, to Japans' Shinsei Bank


    The sale follows a strategic review of UDC - in line with ANZ's strategy to simplify its business.

    ANZ has said it intends to release more than 2 billion dollars, to strengthen its balance sheet.

    The UDC sale is subject to regulatory approval.

    ANZ's previous attempt to sell UDC Finance...to Chinese company HNA...was rejected a few years ago by the Overseas Investment Office.
