    A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle on State Highway 3 in Whanganui


    Emergency services were alerted to the incident in the community of Westmere at about 2 this afternoon.

    The road remains closed and diversions are in place.

    This takes the Labour Weekend road death toll to four.
