The Los Angeles Lakers have signed Spanish basketball centre Marc Gasol as the NBA champions reconfigure their roster

The 35-year-old has spent the last one-and-a-half seasons with the Toronto Raptors and won a championship ring in 2019 with his sturdy defence, strong passing skills and three-point shooting accuracy.

Gasol's NBA career has come full circle as he joins the team that drafted him in 2007.
