Jennifer Garner thinks it's been a "hard year" for mothers

The Hollywood actress - who has Violet, 15, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, nine, with ex-husband Ben Affleck - admits that the coronavirus pandemic has thrown up a huge challenge for mothers

She said: "This has been such a hard year for moms. We have had to say ‘No, no, no.’ We’ve had to watch our kids be home, miss out on things."

Jennifer, 48, explained that it's been tough to watch her kids feel "isolated and on Zoom" all the time.

Despite this, the actress admitted to having an easier time than a lot of people amid the pandemic.

She told 'Entertainment Tonight': "I have to say, I have it pretty easy as far as that goes."

Jennifer stars in the new Netflix comedy 'Yes Day', which tells the story of parents who agree to all of their kids' wishes for a 24-hour period.

And the brunette beauty revealed she leaned on her own experience of motherhood while making the movie.

She said: "I definitely know that the pain of growing up, the pain of separating from the mom when you are so, so close.

"The first draft of the script really had a lot of friction and the teenager was really snarky and they did not seem to like each other. I said, ‘That is not what it is. The point is it’s that painful without any of that. It is heartbreaking anyway just letting your kid grow up.'"

Jennifer previously revealed she's tried to keep active throughout the pandemic.

She explained: "I always move my body. That is for me. It’s for my brain, my happiness. I know you’re one step away from a good mood, so no matter what, one way or another, I move."
