    Auckland Museum has teamed with Watercare to collect and identify fossils found during their excavation of a large wastewater project in Auckland


    The fossils were discovered by chance when Watercare excavated an area at Greenwood Road in Mangere.

    So far teams have found more than 200 species of Molluscs and other species.

    Estimates are the fossils found are more than three million years old.
