Capital and Coast DHB has hit yet another vaccine record

Capital and Coast DHB has hit yet another vaccine record

It joins Auckland as just one of two DHBs to have 90 percent of its eligible Maori population with at least one jab.

Hutt Valley and Wairarapa DHBs are also close to the same milestone with 87 percent.

It comes after Capital and Coast DHB recently announced 92 percent of their total population are fully vaccinated.

CCDHB Chief Executive Fionnagh Dougan says the milestone is thanks to thousands of people working hard to vaccinate whanau across the region.

She says a key part of their success is connecting with people and making vaccination spaces feel comfortable and safe.
