One Auckland high school principal doesn't want to give students a Covid exemption .... when it comes to exams

One Auckland high school principal doesn't want to give students a Covid exemption .... when it comes to exams

NCEA is reporting average attendance of 55 percent for the first four days of exams in Auckland, Northland and parts of Waikato.

These students can take an Unexpected Event Grade - or UEG - based on work during the year.

Auckland Grammar headmaster Tim O'Connor says they expect business as usual from pupils.

He says more than 95 percent have turned out to exams so far.

He questions why they'd tell students to take a UEG grade, when they can better themselves in exams.
