A South Auckland school principal hopes students won't be stuck at home due to the threat of Omicron

A South Auckland school principal hopes students won't be stuck at home due to the threat of Omicron

High school students start returning to school the week after next.

There have been some calls to continue at-home learning, or follow Queensland in delaying the start of Term One.

But Vaughan Couillault -- the Principal of Auckland's Papatoetoe High School Principal -- says he doesn't think it's sensible to stop kids returning to school.

He says while children may be kept home during widespread transmission, they should be given the chance to reconnect with each other in the mean time.
