The play-off positions in NBA basketball's eastern conference are set midway through the final day of the regular season

The New York Knicks have jumped into second ahead of Milwaukee after an overtime win against Chicago.

They'll take on the winner of the seven-versus-eight play-in game between Miami and Philadelphia in a best-of-seven series.

    Milwaukee will meet Indiana.

Oklahoma City are odds on to finish top of the western conference ahead of defending champions Denver and Minnesota.

Those three teams went into their 82nd and final regular season games with identical 56-win 25-loss records.
