Enquiries are continuing after a Pioneer Energy truck carrying woodchips crashed into the Octagon on Saturday morning, leaving a trail of damage

Fencing and the Octagon's awning were damaged, and a bench destroyed.

Nine police cars, two fire engines and one ambulance attended.

Over the weekend police pointed to a medical event as a potential cause.

A spokesperson says enquiries are ongoing - including whether there were any mechanical issues.

The driver was taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
