    Police are seeking witnesses to a fatal crash involving a fleeing motorcycle which happened on State Highway 35 near Gisborne yesterday


    A 36 year old man died after crashing his bike into a car at around 4pm.

    Police had stopped him near Makaorori Beach because of his speed, but he fled before officers could speak with him.

    Police want to hear from the driver of a blue vehicle which was nearly hit as the motorcyclist sped away.
