Kerry Katona wants to "be single for 12 months"

The 44-year-old star - who split from her fiancé Ryan Mahoney in November last year - has insisted despite recently being linked to celebrity chef Jameson Stocks, there is no romance and she isn't planning to get into another relationship

She told new! magazine: "I've not really got any interest in being with anyone right now - I'd like to be single for 12 months."

Kerry - who has Molly, 23, and Lily-Sue, 21, with first husband Brian McFadden, Heidi, 17,and Max, with ex Mark Croft, and 10-year-old DJ with late husband George Kay - insisted her children wouldn't be happy if she moved on so quickly.

She added: "The kids are happy with it being just us, and they wouldn't like it if I got into another relationship now."

Kerry joked she has started to relate to Bridget Jones, with Renee Zellweger reprising the role in upcoming sequel 'Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy'.

She wrote in her column for the magazine: "I'm a big fan of the movies and I know Hugh Grant, so I'm particularly looking forward to watching him in it again.

"Although, it does make me feel old seeing all of the characters maturing.

"I relate to the films and feel like I'm the real-life Bridget Jones right now - but I'm on board with that!"

The former Atomic Kitten singer clearly listens to her children, after she cancelled a planned lower facelift over objections from her eldest daughters.

She told the same outlet recently: "I just don't think now is the right time.

"My eldest three girls really didn't want me to do it, they were begging me not to, saying, 'Please don't.' "

Meanwhile, the former Atomic Kitten singer also has son Max, 16, with second husband Mark, while she has 10-year-old DJ with late husband George Kay.

Although she was "excited" about the facelift, she listened to her children's objections.

She added: "I knew they didn't want me to, so that massively impacted my decision.

"It is hard for the kids to see me recovering - that's why I stay at my mum's after surgery so they aren't exposed to it.

"The results are always amazing but I'm just not there yet."
