Blake Lively is being sued for defamation by a PR firm

The 37-year-old actress is facing a lawsuit from Jed Wallace, of the crisis-management firm Street Relations, after he was named in a complaint that Blake recently filed as part of her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni

Wallace's filing reads: "The statements of fact, actual or implied, of and concerning Plaintiffs in the Precursor and CRD Complaint are false, defamatory, made with either negligence or 'actual malice' and have caused millions of dollars in reputational harm including both general and special damages through emotional harm (Wallace), actual damages and real and projected loss of business (Wallace and Street) in an amount that exceeds $1,000,000."

In Blake's legal filing, it was claimed that Justin - her 'It Ends with Us' co-star and director - hired a PR team to weaponise "a digital army around the country from New York to Los Angeles to create, seed and promote content that appeared to be authentic on social media platforms and internet chat forums".

But according to Wallace's lawyers, the actress "has no facts supporting the allegations she made against Wallace and Street".

Wallace and the firm are seeking a minimum of $7 million in damages, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, Blake has accused Justin, 41, of causing her "severe emotional distress".

The actress - who played Justin's on-screen love interest in 'It Ends with Us' - recently told the New York Times newspaper: "I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted."

Justin later denied the allegations, with his lawyer describing the claims as "categorically false".

Bryan Freedman, who is acting as a lawyer for the actor and his Wayfarer Studios production company, told Variety: "These claims are completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt and rehash a narrative in the media."
