Black Caps coach Gary Stead has explained the key to fast bowling success on flatter pitches on the subcontinent ahead of tonight's Champions Trophy opener against Pakistan in Karachi

Kyle Jamieson will replace the injured Lockie Ferguson in the squad, but won't be available for tonight's fixture as he arrives from New Zealand.

Stead says other pace options such as Will O'Rourke and Nathan Smith will need to use bounce.

    First ball's at 10pm.
