Rosie O'Donnell has found her recent weight loss "completely shocking"

The 62-year-old comic and actress, who suffers from diabetes, made the admission while updating fans on her recent move to Ireland - in protest at the Donald Trump administration - and the significant changes she's made to her lifestyle

She told fans in a TikTok video: "I've lost more weight. I am on Mounjaro for my diabetes and one of the side effects is you lose weight."

Mounjaro, the brand name for tirzepatide, is an FDA-approved prescription drug used to treat type 2 diabetes.

It has also been found to be highly effective for weight loss by reducing appetite and improving how the body processes sugar and fat.

Similar drugs, such as Ozempic and Wegovy - both brand names for semaglutide - have gained popularity in Hollywood for their weight-loss effects.

Rosie added her lifestyle had changed significantly since relocating to Ireland with her 12-year-old child, Clay.

She said: "I had a chef for over two years in Los Angeles and I don't have a chef now. It's me cooking for Clay and me."

Rosie added she had recently gone shopping in Dublin to buy clothes, which she found "fit better" after losing weight.

She said: "I'm one of those people who always had a weight issue, and now that I'm a size large - instead of an XL or a XXL - I find it shocking.

"I really do. I find it completely shocking."

Recalling a recent shopping trip, Rosie said a store clerk asked for her size, and she replied: "I don't really know anymore."

After trying on a pair of trousers without an elastic waistband for the first time in "a very long time", she admitted she was surprised by the result.

She added: "They brought in some pants and I didn't look at the size. I put them on, and as we were leaving, they said what the size would be comparable to in America, and I didn't really believe them."

Rosie previously updated fans on her health in January 2023, saying in an Instagram video she had lost 10lbs since Christmas.

In a follow-up video, she responded to a fan who asked about her weight loss, explaining: "About two months ago my doctor put me on - not Ozempic - Mounjaro, and Repatha.

"One I do every other week and one I do once a week."

Rosie said she had also cut back on sugar and alcohol, only drinking water since Christmas apart from a champagne toast.
