    A man who created fake social media accounts to contact young mothers to make disturbing comments about children, has been sentenced to home detention


    Christchurch man Zeb Noel Gordon Laing says he has limited memory of his offending, due to meth use.

    Two of the 41-year-old's victims were childcare workers, while another was an expectant mother who'd advertised a room on Trade Me.

    Laing - a qualified helicopter pilot and marine engineer - also sent photos of himself wearing nappies, and various images of childrens' underwear.

    He's been sentenced to 12 months home detention for possessing and distributing child exploitation material, and is listed on the sex offender register.
