    A coronial hearing into the disappearance of John and Mike Beckenridge, continues in Christchurch today


    The pair vanished after John broke a court order and took the 11-year-old from his Invercargill school in 2015.

    They were last seen near the Catlins -- Beckenridge's car was found in the sea below an 88-metre cliff, with no bodies.

    Coroner Marcus Elliott is looking into the case to consider whether the pair are dead or alive.

    Several submissions -- including a woman who believed she saw them overseas -- were heard during a two-week hearing in 2023.
