Consumer spending's continuing to pick up

Payment services company Worldline's recorded a third month of growth.

Nationally, spending in the month of June was up 0.8 percent compared to June last year.

Spending across the year rose 1.2 percent.

But spending declined in Marlborough, Wellington and Auckland.

Sales also fell in hospitality - particularly in Auckland.
