Coach Matt Lacey is mightily impressed with the way Hayden Jones led the junior Tall Blacks into the Under-19 World Cup semi-finals in Switzerland

The son of former Tall Black Phill Jones had 23 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four blocks in the 84-70 quarter-final win over the hosts.

Lacey says the stellar effort was even more remarkable given Jones was thrust into a playmaking role.

New Zealand will need to down the USA to make the final.
