Details can now be revealed of the initial investigation - which led to a former deputy police commissioner facing charges for objectionable material

Jevon McSkimming was suspended from his role before Christmas - after an allegation of sexual misconduct by a former female police employee.

Her complaint inadvertently led to the alleged discovery of child sex exploitation and bestiality material on his work devices.

McSkimming has always denied any wrongdoing in relation to the original complaint.

Earlier today senior police officers told the original complainant there is insufficient evidence to prosecute the 52-year-old.
