Criticism of Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown - for planning a rates hike, at the same time the Government's put up a plan to force Councils to cap them

Bown's proposed a 7.9 percent annual hike - saying a big chunk of that will fund City Rail Link operations.
Auckland Ratepayers Alliance spokesperson, Jordan Williams, says Brown isn't living up to his promises to cut costs.
He says the rates rises are higher than anything floated by previous mayors.
