Sydney Sweeney hasn't had cosmetic surgery because she's "so scared of needles"

The Hollywood actress has dismissed rumours she's gone under the knife to change her appearance - insisting she hasn't had any wrinkle-freezing Botox injections or facial fillers because she's terrified of jabs.

In a joint interview with Amanda Seyfried for Allure magazine, Sydney explained: "Let’s debunk them all [the rumours]. I mean, I have never gotten work done. I am so scared of needles, you have no idea ... "
Seyfried, 40, went on to tell Sweeney: "But it's really effective once you get older, I'm telling you right now."
Sweeney then added: "I am too scared of needles."
She went on to insist the rumours suggesting she's had work done seem to come from social media followers looking at old pictures of her from childhood.
Sweeney explained: "You cannot compare a photo of me from when I was 12 to a photo of me at 26 with professional make-up and lighting! Of course I'm going to look different. Everybody on social media’s insane."
The Christy actress also insisted that if she'd had cosmetic work done, then she would have fixed her "uneven" eyes - explaining one eye opens "a little more than the other" because of a wakeboarding accident she suffered as a teenager that required stitches.
Sweeney explained: "If I did [have cosmetic surgery], you guys, my face would be even ...
"When I was younger I had a wakeboarding accident right here and I got 19 stitches. So I feel like it pulls like my eye just a little differently than the other."
Sweeney previously revealed she had been told to have Botox injections when she was a teenager because her eyebrows could impede her acting career.
She told Variety: "I have very strong eyebrow muscles. And I had someone tell me to fix my face or else I’m not going to make it.
    "I should get Botox. I was 16!"
The actress added to the publication that she's never doesn't have any tattoos because of her fear of needles, saying: "I’m absolutely terrified of needles. No tattoos. Nothing. I’m going to age gracefully.
"It’s really funny. I’ll see things online like ‘comparison pictures.’ I’m like, ‘I’m 12 in that photo. Of course I’m going to look different. I have make-up on now and I’m 15 years older'."
