    A, aerial fire truck broke down in Auckland today, because of a hydraulic leak


    Video from the Firefighters Union shows the truck leaking transmission fluid in Silo Park.

    The union claims the failure represents a system with no resilience when frontline appliances fail.

    Fire and Emergency New Zealand says the truck is now operational again.

    It acknowledges the fleet is ageing and says its spending $20-million a year to replace older trucks.
