New Zealand's economy is officially in rebound

Stats NZ has confirmed GDP grew 1.1 percent in the three months to September.

The Reserve Bank had been forecasting a growth rate of about 0.4 percent.

Economists had been expecting it to sit on about 0.9 percent.

Many households still did it tough through the quarter, though, with unemployment reaching 5.3 percent and inflation of three-percent.
