    The men's 1500 metres at the national track and field championships in Auckland has been changed to a straight final


    The tweak has been made after two-time Olympian Sam Tanner was forced to withdraw from the heats with a lower leg injury he's been battling since last month.

    Teen star Sam Ruthe remains in the field for the final - which is scheduled for Saturday night.
