The family of a helicopter crash victim has expressed relief at the release of the accident's investigation

The family of a helicopter crash victim has expressed relief at the release of the accident's investigation

Matt Wallis was killed in July 2018 when his Robinson R44 helicopter crashed into Lake Wanaka.

The brother of Matt Wallis, Jonathan Wallis, says his family accepts the findings of the accident's report.

However they acknowledge that the lack of reliable evidence on the initiating cause or causes of mast bumping in Robinson helicopters, continues to limit the effectiveness of investigations.

Their focus remains on caring for the family and supporting Matthew's young son Arthur.
