    Heavy rain is expected for the Northwest of the South Island

    Heavy rain is expected for the Northwest of the South Island


    The Tasman District Ranges west of Motueka will be in the firing line for showers until 6am tomorrow morning.

    Residents are warned to expect 60 to 80 millimetres of extra rain.

    People are being advised to avoid low lying areas and to drive carefully.
