    A thriller in New Zealand's Group D at cricket's T20 World Cup

    A thriller in New Zealand's Group D at cricket's T20 World Cup

South Africa have beaten Afghanistan, but needed a second super over to complete the feat in Ahmedabad.

Both sides initially finished on 187.

Then they stalemated at 17 in the first tie-breaker on Sky Sport.

Anxiety reigned in the commentary box.

Afghanistan required a four to level or a six to win the second tie-breaker in pursuit of 24.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz was caught by David Miller off Keshav Maharaj at point.

The Black Caps remain top of the group on net run rate after two of four games - they meet the Proteas in Ahmedabad on Sunday morning.
