Fire and Emergency is scaling back their presence at a storage unit fire in Auckland

Fire and Emergency is scaling back their presence at a storage unit fire in Auckland

The blaze broke out at a building on Harris Road in East Tamaki just before one o'clock this morning.

Assistant Area Commander Chris Delfos says sixteen fire crews were at the scene at the peak of the fire, and four will remain there for the rest of the morning.

He says firefighters are emptying the storage units of their contents to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
