Fire and Emergency says it misidentified the site of a restaurant fire in south Auckland this morning

Fire and Emergency says it misidentified the site of a restaurant fire in south Auckland this morning

Fire crews spent much of the night battling a blaze at Seven One Two Garden Bar on Great South Road in Manukau about 1am.

Fire and Emergency originally said the fire happened at Broncos Steakhouse -- at the same address.

It says Broncos Steakhouse is protected by a fire wall, is NOT damaged, and remains open for dining.

Fire investigators have been back at the scene of the fire to examine the cause of the fire.
