Two blows for the All Blacks in the build-up to the second test against Ireland in Dunedin - Sam Whitelock has concussion and Tupou Va'ai has Covid

Two blows for the All Blacks in the build-up to the second test against Ireland in Dunedin - Sam Whitelock has concussion and Tupou Va'ai has Covid

Rosie Elliott is stunned by her call up in the 400 metres for this month's world track and field championships in Oregon.

The 24-year-old only started running the distance this season, winning the nationals.

She's been added to a 20-strong New Zealand team.

The All Whites will play a second football international against World Cup-bound Australia in September.

They will meet the Socceroos in Brisbane on September 22, three days before the already-announced match at Eden Park.

New Zealand's professional women's and men's cricketers will receive the same pay for the same work in a five-year pay parity deal from August 1.

In essence, the match fees are the same but not the retainers.
