Sarah Paulson spat a potato chip into Kim Kardashian's eye

The pair play nemeses in new legal drama All's Fair and things went awry during the filming of a particularly intense scene.

Sarah, 50, told People magazine: "I had to say some really scandalous things in Kim's face. I did at one time spit a potato chip on her. I was in her face screaming, and it was like, 'Bing!' I saw it go in her eye."

Sarah has worked with showrunner Ryan Murphy dozens of times before but All's Fair marked one of her only times playing the villain and she loved the role.

She said: "I had the best time, I really did.

"I love working in a high-stakes environment, and I don't mean the environment of the set but of the scene."

While things may have got heated on camera, Sarah and Kim, 45, got along so well, they often disrupted filming with fits of laughted.

Co-star Glenn Close said: "Sarah and Kim sometimes could not look at each other without laughing."

Niecy Nash-Betts added: "Once the laughter started, we all knew it was going to be at least 30 minutes before we could even start."

All's Fair follows a team of female divorce lawyers who leave a male-dominated firm to see up their own practice, and Kim thinks the show signs a spotlight on the power of female friendship.

She said: "The theme every week is we have a story of a woman going through an unfortunate situation, and we're there to help her.

"I think that the moral of this story for us as women is even if you are having a hard time, even if you don't believe in yourself at that moment, your lawyers are there, your girls are there to pick you up and help you believe in yourself again."

Kim recently revealed she gifted her co-stars vouchers for salmon sperm facials as part of special hampers she pulled together for them as an early Christmas gift.

Kim - who also filled the gift bags with products from her own brand Skims alongside Balenciaga and Gucci - told People magazine: "[My sister] Kourtney went to go get a facial yesterday at the salmon-sperm place, and they said, 'Oh, well, none of the girls have used it, so I'm going to give you a free one.'

"I was like, 'Why wouldn't you get it?!'"

Her All's Fair co-stars reacted in surprise when the topic came up.

Teyana Taylor said: "Wait, I was so excited about the gifts, I don't think I opened the envelope. It was some salmon sperm in there? Girl, why didn't you say that?"

Last summer, Kim revealed on The Kardashians she had undergone the same treatment herself.

She said: "I got a salmon sperm facial with salmon sperm injected into my face."

Her sister Khloé Kardashian also spoke about trying the procedure in another episode, saying: "I do the salmon sperm (facials), but I'm never gonna do whale sperm."
