Powers to move homeless people on from city centres, could be confirmed by Christmas

The Government signalled last month it is considering measures allowing police to enforce move on orders.

Prime Minister Chris Luxon says Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith's has advice coming in quickly.

He says the problem is finding a solution, for once they've been shifted.

Luxon says Auckland's Minister and Mayor came up with an action plan last week, and an announcement's expected before the end of the year.
