    The Prime Minister's tempering expectations ahead of the Government's books opening this week


    The Half Year Economic and Fiscal Update will be unveiled tomorrow - with some economists expecting a projected surplus to be pushed out by another year.

    Chris Luxon says the reports were completed in October - so it's not a current view of the economy.

    He says the data's grounded in the second and third quarter - and the economy has strengthened quite a bit since.
