The New Zealand Herald reports critical feedback has been delivered following the end of year tour with frustrations over the coaching and culture.
All Blacks head coach Robertson and his leading assistant Scott Hansen are believed to be at the centre of the critical feedback.
It's understood Savea is among those seriously unhappy with the direction of the side and could look at staying overseas - unless major coaching changes are made.
Savea is believed to have delivered strong feedback to NZR chairman David Kirk on last year's Grand Slam tour.
This all comes with head of high performance Mike Anthony leaving his post to move to Premier League club Brighton, while the organisation is currently without a chief executive.
