Good George Brewing has, though, started using asterisks in its marketing - despite the Advertising Standards Authority ruling its branding is unlikely to cause serious offence.
The lobby group suggests that's not enough.
Secretary Grant Hewison says the branding lowers the bar for what's required in alcohol advertising.
He says the promotion of alcohol requires a high standard of social responsibility - so they'll be appealing.
