Sara Foster did not date George Clooney because he "felt so old" to her

The 90210 alum was "offended" that 59-year-old actress Cindy Crawford and her 63-year-old husband, businessman Rande Gerber, tried to set George up with Sara when she was "maybe" 24 years old because she thought girls going out with guys double their age was "so weird".

During the latest episode of her and sister Erin Foster's The World's First Podcast, Sara - who is 20 years younger than George - revealed: "Do you guys know I got set up with George Clooney like 30 years ago? It was such a blah. Sorry, had to say it."

Erin, 43, was shocked, hinting that it was new information for her.

She asked: "Wait, sorry. You went on a date with him?"

Sara, 44, continued: "No. Rande and Cindy tried to set me up with him. Like when I was 24, maybe? And the four of us all met, and it was just such a hard no. You didn't know that?"

Erin confirmed that she had "never heard this story".

Sara then remembered: "I remember just thinking, 'Oh, he is so old.' I always say that when I see these young girls dating older guys. Like, yes, of course, sometimes it makes sense, and it's all the things.

"I've never understood a 19 year old that's into a 40 year old. I just always thought that was so weird.

"And I just remember being offended that they would set me up with him because he felt so old at the time. I'm sure George Clooney is a nice guy, but I just remember it being the four of us sitting there and thinking like, 'I'm gonna die, like I'm gonna die.'"

Sara then pointed out that she was "so sad" over a former flame at the time she got set up with 64 year old George.

She continued: "And then, here's this one who just feels like a grandpa. It was depressing. I was so depressed."

Sara believes that George was also not into being set up by Randy - who, with George, founded Casamigos Tequila - and Cindy.

She explained: "I want to make it clear ... I also think it wasn't George being like, 'Oh, set me up with Sara Foster.' I think it was more like Randy and Cindy being like, 'We know someone great.' I don't think he was that into it either.

"I started crying about my ex to him. So I think he was like, 'This chick's not OK.'"

Sara went on to marry former tennis player Tommy Haas, 47, in 2010, but they split in 2024. They have daughters, Valentina and Josephine, together.

And George has been married to 47-year-old international human rights lawyer Amal Clooney since 2014. They have eight-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, together.

The pair attended the Golden Globes as Sara and Erin's Netflix show, Nobody Wants This, was nominated in three categories.

These were Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy (Adam Brody), Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy (Kristen Bell), and Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy.

However, the girls lost across all categories to Seth Rogan (The Studio), Jean Smart (Hacks) and The Pitt, respectively.

Meanwhile, George was nominated for his Netflix movie, Jay Kelly, in the Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy category. However, he lost out on an award to Timothee Chalamet (Marty Supreme).
