Jim Curtis has revealed that he and Jennifer Aniston "took a long time" to start their relationship

The Friends actress, 56, went Instagram official with the hypnotherapist in November and he explained that the pair were "introduced by friends" and took a while before realising their connection was romantic.

Speaking on Today on Monday (26.01.26) to promote his new book The Book of Possibility, Jim said: "We were just introduced by friends. That's it. We found out that we had mutual friends and we started to just chat.

"It took a long time, we chatted for a long time and we became close."

Jim, 50, revealed that he and Jennifer have been dating for almost a year.

Asked how long they'd been together by interviewer Craig Melvin, he said: "A long time, months now, almost close to a year."

Insiders revealed earlier this month that Jennifer - who has previously been married to Hollywood icon Brad Pitt and actor Justin Theroux - is "very happy and comfortable" in her relationship with Jim.

A source told People: "She had a great end to the year and feels really good about where things are with Jim.

"She's excited about this new year and what's ahead, especially with Jim by her side now. Jen's always been fine on her own and comfortable being single, but her relationship with Jim is just different.

"She's very happy and comfortable. He's just so sweet and supportive of her. He makes her everyday life better."

Aniston described her new man as "very special" and "very normal" in an interview last year.

She told ELLE magazine: "Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does. He's quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people.

"He's very special, very normal, and very kind, and wants to help people heal, move through their trauma and stagnation into clarity. It's a beautiful thing to commit your life to."

The Morning Show star is said to "admire" Jim's work and the pair have a great deal in common.

An insider told People: "Their relationship is different. She's very excited about it.

"It's obvious that she admires him. She talks about how he has amazing energy, and she loves what he does for living, because it truly helps people, including herself.

"They both liked little rituals and moments that are grounding. They are both into symbolism."
