Someone could soon be New Zealand's newest millionaire with $35 million up for grabs tonight in Lotto powerball

It will be the largest Powerball jackpot since October last year, which saw $38 million won jointly by two Aucklanders.

Lotto NZ's Marie Winfield says stores up and down the country have had massive queues out their doors.

Ms Winfield says history could be made and she's very excited.
