Brie Bella felt “pressured” into having a second child

The 36-year-old retired professional wrestler is currently expecting her second child with her husband Daniel Bryan, and although she’s thrilled to be expanding her family, she has admitted she felt “so much pressure” to get pregnant again following the birth of her two-year-old daughter Birdie

Brie struggled to conceive for several months before eventually falling pregnant for a second time, and thinks the pressure she put on herself to have another baby impacted her ability to conceive.

Speaking in a preview clip for Thursday’s (02.04.20) episode of ‘Total Bellas’, she told her twin sister Nikki: "There's just so much on my plate right now. You know, just trying for the baby. It just keeps making me feel like why I haven't gotten pregnant in the last eight months is because there's other stuff that I have to work on before a child comes.

"I'm a hands-on mom, but I'm also a career woman. So Birdie travels with me everywhere. I can't imagine two.”

And in a confessional, she added: "I feel so much pressure to have a second child. It’s almost like what you're supposed to do, and if you don't do it, then you're weird. And that's what I guess makes it hard.”

Brie says she wants to be a mother whilst also maintaining her career, but believes having children means she has to “give up” her job.

She explained: "I love my husband to death, and I would never in a million years ask him to stop his career - something he loves to do - but it's like, because he's the man, he never once has to ask me, 'Is it okay I leave every week to go out of town for my job?' because it's just assumed.

"As a woman, if we want children, we have to automatically think to ourselves, 'Am I willing to give up my career right now?' and I love having a career."
