Russell Wilson insisted Ciara has "changed [his] life for the better" in a sweet birthday message

The 31-year-old NFL star has taken to Instagram to post a glowing tribute to his wife to mark her 35th birthday, describing the singer as his "Queen"

Russell - who has Sienna, three, and Win, three months, with the music star - wrote: "My Queen. You are everything a man, husband, lover, friend, dad, a family, and our kids could ever ask for! You are Heaven sent. You have changed my life for the better. (sic)"

The sportsman also hailed Ciara's musical impact and her influence on pop culture.

His post continued: "I am grateful for how you always love. Jesus has anointed you from the crown of your head to the souls of your feet. You have changed generations with your music, your dance, business, & your influence as a woman around the world. However, despite all of that... the best thing about you is how you always make our family laugh and smile from ear to ear. We love how you wrap your arms around us. We love you forever. Daddy loves you. [love heart emoji] Happy Birthday Babylove! @Ciara (sic)"

Ciara - who also has a six-year-old son with rapper Future - previously admitted that her relationship with Russell is different to anything she's previously experienced.

Speaking about the early days of their romance, she explained: "It was different.

"I had never had that feeling in my life. It was just, like, calm. We were connecting in every way ... His conversation, it was just different. The way that he looked at life was different.

"Also, the energy with my son, it just felt right. And of course, the consistency. He's consistent. That consistency is so crucial."
