A slowdown could be on its way in the housing market

The CoreLogic House Price Index for February shows nationwide property values continued to grow over the month, increasing by 2.6 percent.

But Head of Research Nick Goodall says the current growth rate will likely ease over the coming months, when LVR's increase to 40 percent for investors in May.

He says value growth will likely reduce to close to what it was when LVRs were at 40 percent back in 2016.
