    The Government's approved the rejig but wants more scrutiny as to how milk prices are set, and independent market analysis of the share price given to farmer-owners.

    It also requires a financial institution to be involved in trading Fonterra's shares and units.

    The company's chief financial officer Marc Rivers says Fonterra is largely aligned with the Government.

    He says both want a highly performing dairy industry and a strong, successful and innovative Fonterra.
