    A man accused of killing scientist Stephen Thorpe in Auckland's Blockhouse Bay on Saturday has appeared in the Auckland District Court


    Judge Hana Ellis has remanded the 26-year-old in custody and transferred the matter to the High Court.

    He has been granted interim name suppression and did not enter a plea.
