Police have arrested a man after alleged incidents in two Auckland suburbs

Police have arrested a man after alleged incidents in two Auckland suburbs

Officers responded to Ponsonby Road around midday today - after numerous reports about a man acting disorderly and allegedly punching two people.

Police say after further enquiries, the 45-year-old's being charged over a separate incident in Herne Bay yesterday.

It's alleged he indecently assaulted a woman on Jervois Road at around 3.40pm.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have been subject to similar behaviour by the man - who's described as Caucasian, around 180 centimetres tall, of medium build with shaved hair.
