    Police are investigating after three people were hospitalised in the Wairarapa at the weekend after taking an unknown substance they believed was cocaine

    Police are investigating after three people were hospitalised in the Wairarapa at the weekend after taking an unknown substance they believed was cocaine


    Paramedics found the three people at a residential address in Tinui.

    A search was carried out at the property and cannabis and and a firearm were seized.

    A man has appeared in court over the finds.

    The trio are expected to make a full recovery.

    Police are now working to find the source of the illicit substance, which they believe is an opioid.
