    2026 is shaping up to be a big year in transport for Auckland


    The City Rail Link will open, major construction on the Eastern Busway will be finished - and electric ferries will come online.

    Auckland Transport Public Transport and Active Modes Director Stacey Van der Putten says it's exciting to see big projects finish and progress.

    She says the projects bring plenty of benefits.

    Van der Putten says they'll decarbonise the grid and provide more interconnected options for Aucklanders to get around.
